This Time of Year Can Bring Tears~
Its that time of year again, weren't it just here?It comes upon us, without a lot of us even being prepared.Though i believe that the focus of Christs birth should be the whole year through, this is the time of year we celebrate it.I love wintertime, i don't love the cold weather as it affects my IC and fibromyalgia, but i love the feeling in the air at Christmas, the Pretty lights as they adorn the houses, The pretty ways people decorate the inside of their houses,, and above all spending quality time with your loved ones, and of course finding ways to give to those i love.
Though this time of year is suppose to be a happy time, making cherished memories, for alot of people, Christmas, the month of December is not a happy time, not because they aren't happy about the beautiful gift given to the world,Gods precious son, but the fact, this time of Year has alot of sad memories attached to it.Just because December rolls around , doesn't mean our problems fade into the night. Its the empty chair that your loved one used to sit in and they no longer are with you, its the strained relationship, that makes the holidays tough to look forward to, its the financial struggle some have, trying to make ends meet, thinking how will they pay the bills, never mind put gifts under the tree for their children. Its the phsyical pain they endure day after day, and are unable to make plans or afraid they wont be able to keep them, though they want to be there, with their family and friends, their bodies just let them down.
I know from experience, this Christmas is a tough one, and i know many of you are dealing with alot of these struggles i mentioned. My family is dealing with the loss of my Uncle Mike,A father, A Son,A Brother,A Uncle.I know what the true meaning of Christmas is, but its been tough for me to get into the spirit of the Holiday, while trying to grieve his loss, loss at any time is a tough blow, during the holidays, when its about family, its a painful journey.any struggle we endure at times seems to overshadow even the essence of this Beautiful Season of cheer, i can assure you Jesus Understands the heart that hurts. He knows many suffer with depression at this time of year, when those memories and worries flood your mind.
So i encourage you to Let yourself feel, dont let the pressure the spirit of the season, i know you might be hurting, just know your not alone, many there are who sit alone on Christmas day or during the holidays because they dont have the family you do or their family does not get along.Cherish what you do have, and remember family is not always blood, its those who are in our lives who love us no matter how or what we feel, or what we have to go through, when we turn around they are still there, waiting to embrace us with love and open arms!so when you feel the tears falling from your eyes, know that i understand and more so God does and he loves His precious child right where you are, dont think you have to pull it together, because this time of year can stir those deep emotions and this time of year can bring forth those tears.
