Find What you Love and Love What you Do~

Good afternoon beautiful Family. How are your pain levels today? I feel blessed today I woke with little pain, so I will be thankful for that, and just live in the moment, and enjoy every last drop of today’s beauty. Today’s topic is “Find what you love and Love what YOU Do” it’s about finding your purpose, something to Reach for, something to aspire after. It’s about seeing your dreams come true.
There is so much pain that surrounds IC or any chronic illness for that matter, so we need to search until we find what gives us the greatest joy, and once you find that, hold onto it and don’t let it out of your grasp. This entry is about how I found what I love, and let me tell you I’m love what I do. I will share how my dream is coming true, our dreams and hopes are the hidden wishes that our hearts make.
It’s not an easy process dealing with IC, but when you can find a way to use your gifts and passions to help, and lift those around you, the blessings that come forth come tenfold. As long as I can remember I’ve loved writing, writing letters, yes the kind you mail, snail mail. To writing poetry, I’ve always found such a sweet release in putting my pen to the paper.
I found it easy to express at times what I could not put into verbal words, when I had a blank piece of paper in front of me, the words would just flow, like a beautiful waterfall, just peaceful and serene, that’s how I’d feel after id get those feelings out. If I was dealing with something personal in my life, happy or sad, id usually write about it and it found it to be so therapeutic to the process of me dealing with my emotions.
My question to you readers is what excites you? What are your passions and dreams and hopes? Please don’t let them get lost in the confusion and pain of your disease, it will help you deal with the pain, but also it will relieve stress and help others. Find what you love and then LOVE what you do and find ways to use that to share your story in some form, to walk along side others who are hurting too.
I have other hobbies I love like scrap booking and crafts, but my greatest JOY is writing, for quite some time now ive wanted to write a book about my life and all that God has brought me through, and since ive been diagnosed with IC I want to write a book about that too, well in the meantime God has opened some doors for me, some opportunities for me to share. I’ve dealt with bipolar and since being stable since 2004…Praise God….
After my diagnosis with IC, I started a blog about IC my journey here, and discussing all kinds of topics, then I started a blog about bipolar and how God has restored me and given me HOPE… well God has a opened a door and I’m now blogging for the International bipolar Foundation. Then a dear friend contacted the ICA , and told them about my writing and my blog and they contacted her back and said they want me to summit my IC blog, to them, so im in the process of doing that. I’ve been writing for years, and never thought I was that good, in the area of becoming a blogger.
It’s taken a lot of practice to find my style and a way to pull my readers in. This is me seeing one of my dreams come true. I thank God for giving me this talent, for without him, I don’t know where I’d be. I thank my loving, most amazing husband for being my side, and always encouraging me to sue my gifts and talents for Gods glory. I thank my family and my friends for believing in me and encouraging me each step of the way.
What is your passion? Find it, search deep within yourselves, we all have been given gifts, they are inside of us, whether you realize it or not, and then don’t sit on them, use them. Own it and embrace it, not always is your passion or hobby your purpose in this life, but a lot of times they coexist with one another. Once you find what you love and you LOVE what you do, and you start seeing those dreams of yours coming true, then my friends it will make the unbearable days more bearable in this mixed up world we live in. Once you find it, I promise you, you will be surprised at the joy that awaits you.
