The Beauty in our Storms!



   Good afternoon; my readers. What a beautiful glorious Day it is outside, its going to be another hot one, but as I look outside I see the sky overhead splashed with bright blue color and the trees are so lush green and I hear the birds outside my window and I feel at such peace. There is something very soothing about Gods creation and when im in pain and even when im not I breathe in the beauty and take it all in.

    I’ am talking about finding beauty in our storms. IC is a storm, but we face all kinds of storms in our every day lives, circumstances that scare us, shake us up, and make us feel like our boat of life is going to capsize over .IC is a raging fierce storm as we all know, chronic illness, chronic pain of any kind shakes us up to the very core. You may ask how a storm can bring beauty. What possible good can come from what I’am dealing with at this very moment .im glad you asked, because that’s where I want to encourage you in your journey.

   A few days ago we had a very bad  storm, but there was so thunder this time, it was solely because of the extreme heat and humidity we’ve been having, so we had  heat lighting and wow what a storm it was, my husband and I were out doing a few errands and the sky just kept getting darker and darker and before knew it the entire sky was just so black and then the rain started, first slowly and then it poured, I mean torrential downpours and every few seconds the lighting was flashing across  the sky, in one sense it was beautiful to see such power as it lit up the night sky, but  honesty here I hate lighting, but I still find  it beautiful.
     We didn’t get to finish our shopping that evening,, but we sure needed that rain, it cooled everything off and then afterwards, I looked up into the sky and there before my eyes was the most beautiful rainbow I had every laid my eyes on , I t had every color  and it was so bright and it spread across the entire sky from one end to the other it seemed. After the storm clouds disappear, after the rain stops falling,  a rainbow appears, every time I see a rainbow im reminded of Gods promise, and then I feel a peace come over me.

    Every storm ive gone through has made me a stronger, more compassionate person, to feel another’s pain and understand where they are coming from, and then go out of my way to help them right where they are in the middle of their storm. Storms don’t last forever. Some Rains come with lighting and thunder and they last for a while, your waiting for the glimpse of sun to peak through the clouds, for the calm after the storm, other times  it quickly gets dark, it pours for a brief few moments and then the calm…it’s the same way in our lives.
    Some storms don’t just go away, while others pass over and then the sun shines and the rainbow appears over head and everything is cooled off and it all feels so fresh and new. Nothing can grow without a little rain. “Storms make trees take deeper roots” By: Dolly Parton I love that quote I found! I know IC is vicious and I know that we get weary of the same ole , same ole, but im thankful that through  this trial and this pain.
 
   God sustains me and brought beautiful individuals  across my path to  shine light where once there was just shadows and, splash beautiful color into my life once again .That’s because of you guys, you’ve all played a part of helping me see the beauty, when im down you  lift me up and when your down I lift you. I found another quote, thought I t reads more like a prayer that I want to share with you all, it really sums up how my heart feels and I pray this quote for you ALL! “Lord please help me to rise above my current challenges, to be patient, yet resistant in affliction to be inspired and to inspire others” By: Adrain Pantonial.

     I know life is not easy, and it scary, it can overwhelm us at times, but WERE being held in the arms of the ALMIGHTY and my prayer is that when the clouds gather overhead and the rains start to pour down we can stare our storms in the eyes and say I WILL NOT FEAR THE STORM, because Jesus can calm the fierce raging winds and calm the seas, si I know without a shadow of a doubt that he can calm the raging storm inside of me! I Give Permission

  Put away that smile and brave face. We are not required to stay strong, we all feel weak at times. There is no shame in this. There are more than enough days that I lay in bed and just cry, until I no long have tears to cry with. I cry because of the relentless pain, I cry because I want to be free of this monster that tried to wreck havoc on my body. It does to my body in many ways, but I refuse to let it do that to my soul. This is about giving ourselves room and permission to cry and to let it all out. I need to be honest with myself, I hate this I really do, and WE all do. It’s not fair it feels good to be real and raw and speak it the way it is. I know many of you will be able to relate to this. The day’s I’m bedridden, that’s tough. Poetry~ "Its In Moments Like This I Live For"
