Poetry~ We Will Run the Race~
Good evening courageous
warriors, I know I have not written in my ic blog in awhile and I apologize for
that. either my pain was really bad which took a lot of my energy to write and
now we won’t have the internet for a month ,so only way ill have access to the internet
is on my phone, but can’t do my blogs from that, so please bear with me.
Before we lost it for the month, I wanted to
write this poem for each one of my amazing beautiful IC sisters and courageous IC
brothers, for the entire ic community.
I am so inspired by our IC brother who is running in this year’s
Boston marathon and going to raise awareness
for the IC community. Let us all support
him any way we can by either sharing his post or watching the race on TV if you
can or praying for him, which we should all be doing for his health and safety.
We are all behind you 110%thank you sincerely; we all will be there with you in
spirit.
Know that wherever we are , we will be cheering
you on ans knowing what a difference this could make getting this disease out
there in the open. So here is the poem god places upon my heart, my prayer si
that you all will be encouraged!.
1 Timothy 4:7
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have
kept the faith."
We are worn we are in pain, we carry this load day after day
Our bodies feel torn, but our spirits still soar. We are
running this race, with courage like never before. My tears I cry late late
into the night into the morning light. We push forward not because we always want
to, but because we know we have to. This disease comes with so much pain,
inside, as well as out. yet through my sleepless nights, we see the beauty, of
a bond that’s stronger than any other force upon this earth, the bond of love
of sisterhood and brotherhood, were all on this race, and we will not back down
or give in, we are determined to finish and cross that finish line.
Were all on this race, all on this journey together as one. One
for all, and all for one. One family one community united with love. We’ve come
so far already from different backgrounds, but all with one desire, one dream
and one hope one day our cure will be found. Until that day we will not break, we
may bend and sway, there will be days we want to give up, but we know that we
must run the race before us. We will carry on we will fight the good fight.
Fight with courage and bravery as our anthems. we will raise
the banner high, WE are Warriors and if we
fall before we reach the finish line, we will help one another up, we
will RISE we will finish and cross the finish line united as one with one goal,
one dream and one hope, wearing our color , knowing that one day WILL be our
DAY!
